TARLAC CITY, TARLAC. February 24, 2022 – Aiming to build a culture of learning and collaboration in the province, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Tarlac conducted a meeting on the organization of the Multi-Sectoral Advisory Committee (MSAC) via zoom conference participated by the National Government Agencies (NGAs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Local Resource Institutes (LRIs) within the province of Tarlac.

 "The DILG with its function of general supervision over LGUs recognizes the fact that it does not have the monopoly of knowledge & information. Hence there is a dire need for collaborative support and assistance from other agencies and stakeholders in strengthening Knowledge Management, sharing of Best Practices, CAPDEV of LGUs and sustaining and upgrading it to coincide with the needs of the time" PD Belina T. Herman said during her welcome remarks.

Cluster Team Leader Fortunato M. Abraham III led the first discussion on the Local Governance Resource Center (LGRC) where he highlighted its functions and services offered both for the local government units and its stakeholders. Technical Staff Mon Alven A. Lagonilla presented the draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the MSAC membership and the mechanism for its signing.

In his closing message, Program Manager Romer T. Enaje encouraged the continued partnership among the participants of the meeting and pointed out that the endeavor of the activity will be beneficial for all through strengthened knowledge management, linkage, and sharing of best practices.
