DILG Regional Office III held a 2-day Orientation on the National Assessment on Local Planning for Shelter Development (NALPSD) Program on October 20-21, 2021 via Zoom Conference. Present in the orientation were representatives from the three (3) pilot LGUs from Bulacan (Municipality of Balagtas, Pandi and City of San Jose Del Monte) and DILG Provincial Office of Bulacan.

Upon its completion, the NALPSD will serve as a foundation on the demographic data of the ISFs at the barangay level and evaluate their living conditions. It will also reinforce the institutional and technical capacities of LGUs on governing the housing and ISFs concern of the LGUs and other concerned agencies.

The said orientation served as a preparation stage for the NALPSD Process to be understood and accessed by the implementors, specifically the DILG Provincial Office, LGU respondent team, and survey enumerators, and to clarify all possible inquiries and concerns prior to actual implementation.

Prior to this, DILG Secretary Eduardo Año issued a Memorandum Circular directing all DILG offices and personnel involved to conduct the NALPSD amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It is specifically intended for implementers at the regional level, field supervisors, and survey enumerators who will conduct the survey to target respondents.
