DILG Pampanga led the scaling up of the Contact Tracing (CT) program as it facilitated a coordination meeting on May 14, 2021 to discuss issues and concerns relative to the implementation of CT activities and further strengthen the COVID-19 response program in the province.

Present in the meeting were the Local Health Officers, Local Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit Heads, DILG-hired Contact Tracers' Team Leads and the DILG Officers of each city and municipality in Pampanga.

Central in the discussion were the new Contact Tracing Report template, Issues and Concerns in Contract Tracing and updates for the DILG-hired contact tracers.

PD Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, in her guiding message, recognized the efforts and hard work of the Local Health Office as frontliners in the pandemic. She also encouraged them to continue upholding their service for public health and wellness as the country still grapples with the virus.

"Kaisa po ninyo kami sa labang ito. Mananatili po ang aming mahigpit na koordinasyon sa ating mga Local Health Offices at Local Epidemiolgy and Surveillance Units para masigurong iisa ang ating sagwan tungo sa isang mas malakas, ligtas at mas matatag na komunidad sa gitna ng pandemya", PD Fabia said.

The activity came after the DILG issued a new contact tracing report template in order to assist the LGUs in calibrating their strategies to stop the transmission of the virus through a more effective, accurate and responsive contact tracing program.
