ALIAGA, NUEVA ECIJA – "Community partnership and involvement are needed to champion the programs of the national government." This is the key message during the conduct of the Barangay Assembly of Brgy. San Juan, Aliaga, Provincial Showcase of Nueva Ecija for the 2nd Semester Barangay Assembly, on October 14, 2018. Around two thousand (2,000) individuals attended and actively participated in the Barangay Assembly. It was also attended and supported by Municipal Mayor, Hon. Gonzalo D. Moreno and other key officials of the Municipality of Aliaga.

As mandated by law, synchronized Barangay Assembly Day is conducted biannually during the last Saturday of March and second Sunday of October. For this semester, officials are required to deliver their State of Barangay Address, discuss the compliance of their barangay to national laws and issuances, report the list of barangay properties and money accountabilities, and discuss other issues pertaining to peace and order, disaster preparedness, solid waste management, among others.

In his State of Barangay Address, Punong Barangay Erwin Dyan Javaluyas, LnB President of Aliaga, presented the accomplishments of the barangay for the past year which include construction of various relevant barangay facilities, implementation of ordinances, and programs relative to the campaign against illegal drugs.
