The City and Municipal Peace and Order Councils (POCs) in the province of Pampanga were subjected to an audit to assess its functionality and performance as the Provincial Audit Team for the 2017 POC Performance Audit commenced with its table validation on October 3 and final assessment on October 8, 2018.

DILG PD Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, head of the Audit team, led the validation together with the other members namely PNP Provincial Director PSSupt Nicolas Salvador, Liga ng mga Barangay President Renato Mutuc, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Elizabeth Baybayan and CSO partner Mr. Esteban Masagca of Pampanga Disaster Risk Reduction Network.

In the said activity, five pillars were assessed to measure the functionality of the POCs. These are the 1. Organization, 2. Meetings, 3. Plans, Policies and Budget, 4. Reports, and 5. Innovations.

The POC Audit is in line with DILG MC 2018-120 which calls for the audit of the local Peace and Order Councils to assess its performance and effectivity in implementing programs geared towards peace and order.
