The DILG-Olongapo City, in coordination with the City Government of Olongapo, conducted the Awarding Ceremony for the 2018 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives and Awards-City Level on September 24 at Rizal Triangle, West Bajac-Bajac.

Acting City Mayor Sarah Lugerna Lipumano-Garcia, together with DILG-City Director Amada T. Dumagat awarded the plaques of recognition and cash prizes to the winning lupong tagapamayapa.

Olongapo City hailed Barangay Kalaklan as the city winner of this year's search. Punong Barangay Sunday P. Mostacho, together with the Lupong Tagapamayapa of Kalaklan, received a plaque of recognition and cash prize of 15, 000 pesos. Barangay New Kalalake, 1st Runner-Up and Barangay West Bajac-Bajac, 2nd Runner-Up, also received plaques of recognition and cash prize of 10,000 pesos and 5,000 pesos, respectively.

The City Awards Committee, composed of the DILG-OC as the chairperson, City Prosecutor's Office, Office of the Executive Judge of Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC), Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO), Liga ng mga Barangay President, and the President of the Kabalikat Civicom as members, concluded the assessment for the LTIA-City Level.

PB. Mostacho, in his message during the awarding ceremony, thanked the DILG and the City Government for instituting such incentives and award system, and promised to regain the title of being Regional LTIA Winner.

Barangay Kalaklan was also awarded 1st Runner-up in the HUC level category during the Regional LTIA Awarding Ceremony on September 19 at Kingsborough Hotel, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

Olongapo City has sustained the gains of LTIA through the annual search to give recognition to the Lupong Tagapamayapa who put forth outstanding performance and exemplary practices in the implementation of Katarungang Pambarangay.
