To ensure the preparedness of the local Peace and Order Council (POC) and Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) for the new and upcoming POC and ADAC Performance Audit, the DILG Pampanga conducted a 2-day Orientation on the POC-ADAC Performance Audit and Strengthening of ADAC Members and Secretariat on August 30-31, 2018.

The POC Performance Audit is in line with the issuance of DILG MC No. 2018-120 or the 2017 Peace and Order Councils (POC) Performance Audit which gives guidelines on the audit system to be used to gauge the performance and effectivity of the local peace and order councils.

Meanwhile, the ADAC Audit stems from the Joint Memorandum Circular issued by the Department and the Dangerous Drugs Board which aims to assess the functionality of the Anti-Drug Abuse Councils in keeping with the intensive campaign against illegal drugs of the current administration.

"Napakalaking responsibilidad ang nakaatang sa balikat nating lahat sa ating laban sa iligal na droga. Pero kung sama-sama tayong kikilos at mangunguna sa pagpuksa nito, hindi imposible na magawa nating ligtas at mapayapa ang ating mga komunidad", PD Myrvi Apostol-Fabia said as she welcomed the participants and gave an overview of the 2-day activity.

Chiefs of Police, Local Health Officers, Sangguniang Chair on Peace and Order and DILG Officers in the cities and municipalities in the province attended the said activity where they were briefed on the guidelines and parameters to be used in the two Audit.

Further, issues on the process of drug clearing and evaluation were discussed during the activity with the presence of PSSupt Nicolas Salvador, PNP Provincial Director and Mr. Marjuvel Bautista, Provincial Officer of PDEA Pampanga.
