As a coordinating body and secretariat of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC), the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 3, headed by Regional Director Julie Daquioag, spearheaded the conduct of the 3rd RPOC quarter meeting on September 19, 2018 at Kingsborough International Convention Center, CSFP.


The council discussed relevant issues and concerns affecting Peace and Order condition in Central Luzon.
"Central Luzon remains relatively peaceful and ready for further development" said PSUPT Jean Fajardo, Acting Chief of Regional Intelligence Division of PRO3. She reported that there is a notable decreasing trend of 22.11% of Average Monthly Crime Rate (AMCR) in all seven provinces of Central Luzon from January to August 2018 compared to the same period in 2017.
DILG together with RPOC members continue their effort to lower criminality rate and better performance for the region's peace and order.
Also discussed during the meeting was the approval of the resolution designating the Division Commander of the Philippine Army (PA) as co-vice chairperson of the RPOC.
Barangay Drug Clearing
Of the 3,102 barangays, 79.72% or 2,473 are classified as drug-affected, 9.09% or 282 are drug-unaffected, and 11.19% or 347 are drug-cleared.
The province of Bataan has the highest percentage rate of drug cleared barangay, followed by the province of Pampanga and Aurora as reported by PDEA Regional Director Gil Pabilona.
Also, present during the meeting are Pampanga Governor Lilia G. Pineda, Regional Directors of PNP, DOJ, DAR, NCIP, NAPOLCOM, HUC and LMP presidents and Mayors, and other representatives of RPOC members.
