QUEZON, NUEVA ECIJA- Regional Director Julie J. Daquioag of the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Region III led the inauguration and blessing of the newly constructed potable water supply system project under FY 2017 Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) program in Brgy. Ilog Baliwag last August 6, 2018. The ceremony was also participated in by DILG–Nueva Ecija Provincial Director Renato G. Bernardino, Mayor Mariano Cristino N. Joson, Brgy. Captain Magnolito I. Simeon. Cluster Team Leader Fortunato M. Abraham III, MLGOO Irene S. Avellaneda (Quezon), MLGOO Loida C. Sennido (Sto. Domingo), LGOO II Ace Lumagas and LGOO II Esther Rose Basingel.

RD Daquioag and Mayor Joson spearheaded the ceremonial ribbon cutting and the blessing rite was led by Rev. Fr. Jun M. Flores, Parish Priest of Quezon, Nueva Ecija.

RD Daquioag expressed her deepest gratitude to the local functionaries of Quezon and the DILG Nueva Ecija Locally-Funded Projects (LFP) Team for their joint efforts in completing the project with highest quality. She urged the beneficiaries to continue paying their dues in order to protect and maintain it. In the closing remarks, she stated that she was very proud and delighted for a well-constructed project.

So far, in terms of households served, the potable water supply system under FY 2017 ADM Program in Quezon is one of the largest water system (level 3) projects in the whole Region. It was designed to provide access to potable water to 600 households. This project is complete with a pumping station, electro-mechanical devices, treatment facilities, service connections and reservoir.

The ADM Program seeks to equitably assist all municipalities in the delivery of basic services by providing financial subsidy to municipalities for the implementation of their priority programs and projects.
