Participants doing hands-on exercises on Google Drive and LGU Database System    In line with the Department’s program outcome to strengthen internal governance in terms of Communication Systems Development and LGU Database Development, DILG R-3 initiated a One-Day Orientation and Hands-on Training on Google Cloud Computing and LGU Database System on November 19, 2013 at DILG R-3, Local Governance Regional Resource Center, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.  It was participated in by designated Provincial/City Information Technology (IT) staff regionwide and Regional Program Focal Persons from the 3 divisions.

  

   In line with the continuous efforts in developing LGOOs II and III to enable them to perform their mandated functions efficiently and effectively, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 3 hosted the conduct of the 48th Batch Induction Training for LGOOs II Luzon Cluster: Component II – Phase I (Center Training). The training was held at the Local Government Academy Training Center (LGATC), Los Baños, Laguna on August 27 - October 18, 2013.

 

    IIn line with the 22nd Anniversary of the Local Government Code celebration, with the theme, “Kilos Progreso, Makilahok sa Pag-asenso”, DILG R-3 conducted a Regional Forum on Good Governance cum Regional Awarding on October 10, 2013 at Oxford Hotel, Clarkfield, Pampanga. The activitywas participated in by more than 300 participants composed of Local Chief Executives, Regional League Presidents of LMP, VMLP, PCL, PBMLP and LnB, representatives from NGAs, CSOs, academe and media and other local officials and functionaries.

     

   As a culminating activity of the Local Government Code 22nd Anniversary Celebration, DILG Region 3 conducted a Regional Congress on October 30, 2013 at Oxford Hotel, Clarkfield, Pampanga.  The event was participated in by 267 DILG R-3 organic personnel from the regional and field operating units.

    

   As part of the 22nd Anniversary Celebration of the Local Government Code of 1991, DILG R-3 conducted another capability building intervention through a competition dubbed as “Tagisan ng Galing: The Local Governance  Challenge” on October 9, 2013 at Oxford Hotel, Clarkfield, Pampanga.  Three contestants from different congressional district all over Central Luzon competed for the 3 categories which were Impromptu Speech, Essay Writing and On-The-Spot Poster Making Contests.  The activity, participated in by a total of 32 contestants, was aimed to enable barangay officials to share their innate knowledge, skills and talents and identify their crucial role on good governance based on their actual involvement in barangay affairs and their performance of duties and functions as barangay officials and functionaries.
