The Municipality of San Marcelino, Zambales inaugurated the Level III Water Supply System Project funded under the 2014 Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig sa Lahat (SALINTUBIG) Program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on April 19, 2016.
To be able to deepen meaningful devolution and empower communities through broader and meaningful citizen participation thru the Barangay Bottom-Up Budgeting (BuB), the DILG Zambales conducted the BuB Civil Society Organizations' (CSO) Forum. The thirteen (13) municipalities of Zambales were divided into three (3) clusters.
The Municipality of San Marcelino, Zambales received the 2nd tranche amounting to Four Million Pesos (P4,000,000.00) for the 2014 Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig sa Lahat (SALINTUBIG) Program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on February 16, 2016.
The Regional Assessment Team (RAT) of DILG Region III headed by DILG Assistant Regional Director Araceli A. San Jose conducted the 2016 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Assessment last April 7, 2016.
DILG RD Florida M. Dijan, DPA, CESO III awarded to the local government unit of Sta. Cruz, Zambales the amount of Php3,051,600.00 as first trance from the total amount of Php3, 814,500 2015 BUB-DILG funded projects. The checks were received by the lady chief executive of the municipality, Hon. Consolacion M. Marty during a simple awarding ceremony at Zambaleña Building, Masinloc, Zambales right after the Stakeholders' Convergence Dialogue on Bajo de Masinloc on July 8, 2015 spearheaded by the DILG. The ceremonial rite was witnessed by 2nd District House of Representative Cheryl Deloso-Montalla, Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Jr. and DILG PD Armi V. Bactad, CESO V. The said allocation was intended for the two (2) identified Bottom Up Budgeting projects funded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government namely, the Rehabilitation of the Sea Wall along Public Market and the Construction of Drainage System along N. Ela and N. Mose Street located at Poblacion South, Sta. Cruz, Zambales.
