Bottom-Up Budgeting (BuB) funds amounting to P3.5 billion have been allocated to Region 3, with Zambales getting a P384M share of the budget for the implementation of its 325 identified BUB projects from 2015 to 2016. Of the total 325 projects, 150 are 2015 BUB Projects while 175 are 2016 BUB Projects.

ZambaleƱos are now benefitting from the 40 completed projects.

DILG-BUB Projects Status in Zambales

Among the twelve 2015 BUB projects under the DILG are purchase of DRR equipment for the Municipalities of Candelaria, Masinloc (2), Palauig, San Marcelino and Subic; Sagana at Ligtas n Tubig for the Municipalities of Iba, Palauig, San Antonio and San Felipe; infrastructures such the construction of drainage and rehabilitation of the sea wall for Municipality of Sta. Cruz (2).

The Municipality of Sta. Cruz has completed the implementation of Infrastructure Projects namely the Rehabilitation of Sea Wall along Public Market, and the Construction of Drainage System along N. Ela & N. Mose St. is nearing completion at 75%.

On the other hand, San Felipe's Spring Level 1 project fund amounting to P1, 304,000.00 or 80% of the total allocation was already released in May 2015 and the project is at its 61% completion rate. 100 households who have been experiencing inadequate supply of potable water are expected to benefit from this project.
Meanwhile, DILG projects in the Municipalities of Candelaria, Masinloc and Subic shall undergo bidding process once the election ban has been lifted.
