DILG Pampanga conducted an orientation on the MASA MASID (Mamamayan Ayaw sa Anomalya, Mamamayan Ayaw sa Iligal na Droga) program and thereafter held an Express Forum on Federalism last March 16, 2017 at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center, City of San Fernando, Pampanga for all the Punong Barangays in the province.
DILG Pampanga Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia together with newly-installed DILG Region 3 Director Julie J. Daquioag graced the event and both imparted messages on the importance and rationale of the activity as well as reminders on the upcoming Simultaneous Barangay Assembly Day.
RD Daquioag, in her first appearance in front of the Punong Barangays of Pampanga reminded them to take an active stance in the implementation of MASA MASID. "Iba ang may posisyon at iba ang may katungkulan" she stressed to the PBs.
Consequently, LGOO II Aldwin B. Reyes proceeded to discuss the details of MASA MASID along with the updates on how the program progresses in the province. The discussion also tackled the succeeding activities and recommendations regarding its implementation.
The latter half of the activity was then handled by Atty. Pilipinas D. Baclayen, DILG R3's Legal Officer, who presented a detailed and informative session about the proposed governance shift to Federalism. She emphasized the positive effects of Federalism and imparted elaborate facts on its planned implementation.
For their part, the Punong Barangays signified their commitment towards the effective implementation of the program and the education of their constituents during their respective assemblies.
