The launching of Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) on October 25, 2016 at Sitio Makabilog, Las Piñas, Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija marked another milestone in the continuous development of Filipino communities in the far flung areas.

The project was planned by the Local Poverty Reduction Action Team (LPRAT) in 2014 with only Php 500,000.00 allocated budget and reached a total cost of Php 1,800,000.00 which was auspiciously subsidized by the National Electrification Administration (NEA).

The said activity was spearheaded by the LGU of Peñaranda, NEA, and the Nueva Ecija Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NEECO II) Area 2. DILG Region III Director Florida M. Dijan, the League of the Municipalities of the Philippines Nueva Ecija Chapter (LMP-NE) President- Mayor Ferdinand "Blueboy" Abesamis, together with the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and responsible government agencies participated in the said event.
