PAMPANGA – The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 3 (DILG R3) led by Regional Director Florida M. Dijan spearheaded the conduct of a Coordination Meeting with the Manila Bay Clean-Up, Rehabilitation and Preservation Project Mandamus and Member Agencies in Region 3 to discuss its upcoming activities last July 27.

Monitoring and Evaluation Division (MED) Chief Lerrie S. Hernandez, Regional Focal Person of MBCURPP of Region 3 discussed the course content of each activity such as the Orientation on Drafting, Updating and Implementation of Septage and Sewerage Management Ordinance (SSMO) and the Housing Resettlement Governance (HRG) Orientation Workshop.
In the discussion, MED Chief Hernandez highlighted the importance of the activities like the SSMO which will address the waste water issues (contamination) of an LGU. HRG on the other hand, will focus on the social preparation for the Informal Settlers after their relocation in the resettlement areas.
Subsequently, the participants shared their ideas and suggestions on how to polish the presented program of activities.

In attendance to the meeting were the DILG R3 - Provincial Focal Persons, Representatives from the Mandamus and Member Agencies of Region 3 such as DENR, DENR-EMB, DA-BFAR, DPWH, PIA, NEDA, NHA and HUDCC.
