SUBIC, ZAMBALES - The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 3's Regional Communication Committee led the regional launch of the Department's Brand Identity Manual (BIM) last June 21, 2016 at Travelers Hotel, Subic Freeport Zone.

The BIM was developed through the assistance of the Philippines Australia Human Resource and Organizational Development Facility (PAHRODF) and went through various consultations with DILG officials and employees both in the central and in the regional offices.

The branding manual is a tool used to set up standards, guidelines, templates, and tools for communicating the Department's key messages to both its internal audience and external clients. It serves to set apart DILG's identity from those of other organizations based on the qualities that all DILG personnel should embody and provides guiding principles on the brand application in developing communication collaterals and Information Education Communication (IEC) materials.

The Department's brand, aside from its vision, mission, values and logo, now includes a brand personality: "Matino, Mahusay at Maasahang Kagawaran para sa Mapagkalinga at Maunlad na Pamahalaang Lokal" characterized by Isko na Matino, Isay na Mahusay at Ana na Maaasahan, the 3Ms that represent the DILG.

Last month, outgoing Interior and Local Government Secretary Mel Senen Sarmiento led the National Launch of the BIM at the DILG Central Office in Quezon City.
