PAMPANGA: Focal persons and IT officers from the different DILG field offices in Central Luzon were oriented on June 7, 2016 on the harmonized database management system for locally-funded projects (LFPs).

In line with current thrust of the Department in ensuring proper implementation of projects under the Bottom-Up Budgeting (BUB), Sagana at Ligtas na Tubig sa Lahat (SALINTUBIG), Special Local Roads Fund (SLRF) and Konkreto at Ayos na LanSAngan and Daan Tungo sa Kaunlaran (KALSADA) programs, the Office of Project Development Services (OPDS) was provided with assistance from the Australian Volunteers International Development (AVID) to develop a computerized system which will capture vital information that shall aid in the efficient monitoring and reporting of projects.

On her message, RD Florida M. Dijan encouraged the attendees to actively participate and pointed out that learning the software entails effort in familiarizing it. Thus, it is important that the user should also be "friendly" with the system.

Hands-on exercises were given to the participants to practice on the actual updating of projects in a cyclic approach (starting from the MLGOO level through channels until it reaches the central office for feedback). Said reporting system shall cascaded to and utilized by the field officers with a bi-monthly reporting frequency starting the end of June 2016.
