DILG Central Luzon, hosted the 2022 Regional Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Awards last January 16, 2023. The event gave recognition to the outstanding performance of the provincial, city, and municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADACs) of Region III, who have garnered passing scores in both functionality and awarding assessments, in relation to the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of anti-illegal drug activities in their respective locality.

 Atty. Margarita N. Gutierrez, Undersecretary for Plans, Public Affairs and Communications and DILG Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda graced the activity and gave messages emphasizing the importance of the local ADACs in the nation's fight against illegal drugs. Additionally, members of the Central-Luzon Inter-agency Committee Against Illegal Drugs (CL-ICAD) Advocacy Cluster and the Regional Management Coordinating Council (RMCC) were present to witness the event.

A total of 84 High Functional ADACs were awarded during the said activity for their exemplary efforts in complementing the national government's anti-illegal drugs campaign and for obtaining a High Functionality Rating during the 2021 ADAC Performance Audit. Of the 84, 8 were National Awardees, having perfect scores in both the functionality and awarding assessment, while the remaining 76 were Regional Awardees.

Also, in line with the launching of the Buhay Ingatan, Droga'y Ayawan (BIDA) Program, DILG Central Luzon also awarded the winners for the Poster-Making and Song-Writing Contest conducted last December 2022. The BIDA is the flagship program of the DILG that will help guide the LGUs in advocating and involving our communities, schools, and families in the fight against illegal drugs.

The ADAC Performance Audit is a yearly activity conducted by the DILG to assess the functionality and effectiveness of local ADACs based on the existing issuances and policies, determine anti-illegal drug innovations and practices at all levels and recognize the best performing ADACs.
