In the quest to continuously hone the talents and competencies of its personnel, DILG Bataan held another edition of its Proactive Bataan series entitled "EPIC (Elevation of Personnel Interaction and Communication): A Skills Enhancement Activity" on April 20-21, 2022 at Nuan Farm and Resort, Bacolor, Pampanga.

EPIC is an initiative to reinforce Provincial Office personnel with knowledge of the latest norms and technologies to cope with the upward and ever-evolving trend in the promotion of DILG programs. It can be recalled that the team previously had separate capacity-building trainings on basic photography, news writing, video editing, lay-outing, and drone piloting.

For this episode, members of the DILG Central Luzon LIKHA Team were invited to discuss video production using Canva and other editing software. Moreover, a workshop on hosting and public speaking was facilitated by LGOO II Ma. Bernadette Castro as she shared her tips on how to overcome stage frights and become an effective event host and public speaker.

PD Myra Soriano, in her message, emphasized the importance of proper documentation of the team's accomplishments to effectively showcase how the DILG works for the people, and the use of social media as a valuable tool in promoting and advocating the programs of the government.

Program Manager Allan Don Malonzo also added the importance of strategic communications in fulfilling the DILG's mandate as the catalyst of excellent local governance. He said that the team should always embark on actively promoting accomplishments on what DILG does as an organization, its projects and programs and how its stakeholders can help promote sustainable and development-oriented LGUs.

The team believes that utilizing social media platforms is the new medium for reaching and engaging its clienteles on various DILG PPAs. With the conduct of the said activity, followers of the DILG Bataan page can expect more enticing and share-worthy content related to local governance and collaborations with the DILG Central Luzon's LIKHA Team.
