The DILG Central Office spearheaded the conduct of 2022 Resettlement Governance Assistance Fund Awards and Recognition for Region 3 held on April 28, 2022 at Hive Hotel & Convention Place, Scout Tuazon, Diliman, Quezon City.
The one-day face to face activity was the culmination of the RGAF program, in line with the successful implementation of the Resettlement Governance Assistance Fund (RGAF) of 2017 and 2019 to the partner local government units in Region 3, specifically in the province of Bulacan covering Balagtas, Bocaue, Norzagaray, Pandi , and City of San Jose del Monte.
The DILG through the CLRG-PMO, established the provisions of RGAF which aimed to strengthen the capacity of partner LGUs on resettlement governance by providing technical assistance in crafting local structures, policies and programs and financial assistance for the provision of basic services, waste management and peace and order concerns.
Present during the activity were DILG key officers of central, regional and provincial offices, local government unit representatives and members of homeowners' association.
Some of the program highlights include the video greetings of SILG Eduardo M. Año, Undersecretary Epimaco V. Densing, the RGAF projects and beneficiaries, and the awarding and recognition.
