The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region III Monitoring and Evaluation Division personnel, joined by the Barangay Officials and Tanods of Barangay Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga resumed its initiative to maintain the cleanliness of Maimpis Creek, on October 15, 2021 at seven o'clock in the morning.

 Despite the gloomy weather, the participants, equipped with brooms, rakes, and dust pans, continued the clean-up activity on the premises of the creek and a total of 10 sacks of garbage were collected. Health and safety protocols were strictly observed during the conduct of the said activity.

As part of the Department's advocacy and on-going compliance with the Supreme Court decision on the Manila Bay clean-up, rehabilitation and preservation program, and as a form of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activity, the DILG Regional Office III adopted the Barangay Maimpis Creek for the conduct of monthly clean-up drives collaboratively with other stakeholders such as the private sector and the general public.
