The DILG Nueva Ecija has been preparing the Local Government Units (LGUs) for the road clearing validation on February 16 to March 2, 2020, in compliance with President Rodrigo Duterte's directive to free streets of illegal obstructions and to return roads to the people.

To capacitate Road Clearing Validation Teams, the DILG Nueva Ecija hosted a Virtual Orientation on the Guidelines on Road Clearing Validation on February 3, 2020 which was participated in by validation teams including, DILG Field Officers, representatives from Bureau of Fire (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

Further, some Local Chief Executives, City and Municipal Administrators, local government functionaries, Chiefs of Police, Punong Barangays and other barangay officials were also present during the orientation.

A face-to-face orientation with Road Clearing Validation Team (VTs) of the province was held on February 2, 2021 attended by representatives from the Provincial Office of Nueva Ecija, Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office and Bureau of Fire Cabanatuan City.

LGOO V Kimberly B. Ruiz, Chief-Monitoring and Evaluation Section discussed the validation guidelines giving emphasis on the cross-posting validation and the scoring system to be implemented. An open forum was also conducted at the end of the discussion to address the concerns and queries of the validation team.

The conduct of validation is based on the LGU's compliance to DILG MC 2020-145 relative to the resumption of road clearing operations after being suspended for almost eight months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
