RA 10742 or the SK Reform Act of 2015 states that the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) shall have financial independence in its operations, disbursements and encashment of their funds, income and expenditures.

 In order to provide capacity building intervention on this, the Angeles City Youth Development Office and the city's SK Federation have initiated an orientation on SK Fund Disbursement and Liquidation on December 17, 2020. SK Chairpersons and Treasurers in the 33 barangays of the city participated in the activity.

PPSK President Arnoah Prince DG. Mandani thanked DILG Angeles City headed by CD Martin Porres B. Moral for his continuous support to ensure the financial independency of the SK.

CD Moral in his message, was very grateful to see that early next year all SK shall be having financial independency. "Masaya ako dahil yung pangarap natin para sa SK ng Angeles ay close to reality na, by next year I am one of the persons who will be very proud on the development of this activity." CD Moral said.

DILG R-III Accountant Jean Hazel Bacani has facilitated the discussion on the basics of accounting and liquidating process using the Handbook on the Financial Transactions of the Sangguniang Kabataan.

This activity was aimed to strengthen and update SK Chairpersons and SK Treasurers on their Financial Transactions in accordance with existing laws and regulations, specifically COA Handbook.

Minimum health standards like wearing of facemask and faceshield, social distancing and hand sanitation were observed during the activity.
