The National Task Force COVID-19 Coordinated Operation to Defeat Epidemic (CODE) Team visited the province of Bataan on October 13, 2020.

 The event, which was held at the Oriental Hotel, Mariveles provided a dialogue between the NTF and the LGUs and strengthen the coordination and support to bring to life the national government-enabled, local government-led and people-centered response to COVID-19 to the LGUs.

It is also part of CODE Team's visit among different LGUs to know about the situation and interventions being implemented in their fight against the pandemic.

CODE team members who led the activity were Sec. Carlito Galvez, Jr., NTF Chief Implementer, Sec. Vivencio Dizon, NTF Deputy Chief Implementer, Usec. Jonathan Malaya of DILG and ASec. Maria Francia Laxamana of DOH.

Present in the event were Bataan officials headed by Governor Albert Garcia, Mariveles Mayor Jocelyn Castañeda, Dinalupihan Mayor and LMP Bataan president Maria Angela Garcia and other local officials in the province. DILG Bataan led by Provincial Director Myra Moral-Soriano also graced the said activity.

Attendees from various national field offices include DOLE, DTI, PNP, OCD, DOH, DICT, PIA, DSWD, DepEd WHO representative and the DILG. Also in the event are local health officers, local DRRMOs, Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA), local media and CSO partners in the province.
