As passer of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG): Pagkilala sa Katapatan at Kahusayan ng Pamahalaang Lokal for FY 2019, the municipality of Santa Maria, Bulacan was entitled for Performance Challenge Fund. PCF can be used for municipalities to implement unfunded projects beneficial to the public. 

 

The local functionaries of Santa Maria proposed for the improvement/ rehabilitation of Local Access Road at Barangay Lalakhan in the municipality. The project serves as an alternate route going to the municipalities of Bocaue and Pandi on eastern part of Santa Maria and also links to Norzagaray, Angat and City of San Jose del Monte going to McArthur Highway.

On September 22, 2020, DILG Bulacan headed by Provincial Directory Darwin D. David, together with Santa Maria's MLGOO Elaine D. Pagdanganan and Locally Funded Project (LFP) Team, visited and validated the newly rehabilitated road. The team, which was also accompanied by Project Inspectorate Team of the municipality, walked on the 290 l.m. road length.

Certificate of Turnover and Acceptance was signed by PD David and Sta. Maria Mayor Hon. Russel G. Pleyto, after the inspection.
