The DILG Nueva Ecija conducted a virtual Sangguniang Kabataan Mandatory Training (SKMT) for SK officials in the province via Zoom Meetings application on September 18, 2020.

 Program Manager LGOO VI Alfa Krista C. Reyes started the activity by welcoming the participants from various LGUs in Nueva Ecija with her opening remarks.

LGOOs VII Ariel G. Epinosa and Danny C. Rillera, LGOOs V Anna Marie P. Batad, Edgardo W. Adriano, Jr, and Kimberly B. Ruiz served as speakers in the said training that tackled Decentralization and Local Governance, SK History and Salient Features, Meetings and Resolution, Planning and Budgeting as well as the Code of Conduct for Government Officials and Employees.

Through a game-based online platform named Kahoot!, participants were given questions to answer so as to check their understanding of the topics.

The activity was conducted to provide the necessary training for SK officials before they can assume office as stated in the Section 27 of Republic Act 10742 otherwise known as Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015.
