Angeles City Mayor Carmelo 'Pogi' Lazatin Jr. has convened the City Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Disease Committee on July 21, 2020 to discuss the unified system, protocol and coordination between the city government and public & private hospitals regarding the increasing number of COVID cases.

The recent three additional positive COVID 19 cases in the city are workers from Angeles Casino Filipino. According to Dr. Verona Guevarra all the three patients are currently admitted in the different hospitals and contact tracing is on-going.
At present, out of more than 170,000 households in the city, there are 42 confirmed cases of COVID 19 with 11 active cases, 27 recoveries and 4 deaths.
Present during the emergency meeting were DILG City Director Martin Porres Moral, CDRRMO-OIC Rudy Simeon, City Health Office Officer-in-Charge Dr. Verona Guevarra, Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center Head Dr. Froilan Canlas, City Councilor Atty. Arvin Suller, Information Communication and Technology Division Chief Michael Lising, and PNP City Director PCol. Joyce Patrick Sangalang.
