In its oversight function to monitor and validate the implementation of the Locally-Funded Projects (LFPs) of the Local Government Units (LGUs), the DILG Zambales headed by Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, CESO V, initiated a Year-End Assessment of the LFP implementation in all the 13 component municipalities on December 12-13, 2019 at Vista Marina Hotel and Resort, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

The activity successfully served as a venue to review and assess the performance of Zambales in the over-all implementation of FY 2017 Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM), FY 2018 and FY 2019 AM Projects and other locally-funded projects.
Status of LFP Projects were discussed by Engr. III Peter Rick C. Navora. Further, issues and concerns regarding the implementation of LFPs were individually tackled by the LFP team together with the Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs).
Likewise, catch-up strategies to achieve 100% completion rate of 2018 AM projects were also formulated as the DILG Zambales aimed to finish all the remaining on-going projects in the province this year.
Assistance to Municipalities (AM) Program is one among the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) Program of the department which seeks to equitably assist all municipalities in the delivery of basic services by providing financial subsidy to municipalities for the implementation of their priority programs and projects.
Another highlight of the two-day activity is the awarding of certificate of recognition to the following field officers for their commitment to advocate and advance good local governance by successfully guiding their former assigned municipalities towards the achievement of Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG):
????LGOO VI Cindy C. Cagalitan, former MLGOO of Botolan
????LGOO VI Reden Morris M. Vergara, former MLGOO of San Antonio

LGOO VI Ofelia D. Delamarca was also awarded with certification of recognition for her contribution as former MLGOO of the Municipality of Cabangan, for achieving the rank of Barangay Camiing, Cabangan as 1st Runner-Up in the Regional Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA)- 4th to 6th class municipal category.

Further, PD Bactad gave Ms. Eva Dimabasa, utility worker of DILG Zambales, a certificate of appreciation as a gratitude for her dedication and effort in keeping the workplace conducive which also contributed to the excellent performance of the team.
