DILG Pampanga went hand in hand with DENR, PENRO Pampanga, LGU Macabebe, other national government agencies, and private sectors as the country celebrated the 1st anniversary of the launching of the “Battle for Manila Bay” on January 26, 2020 at Macabebe, Pampanga.

To kick-start the celebration, 4,000 mangrove propagules were planted along the 2-hectare coastal area located at Brgy. Consuelo of the said municipality.
After which, a clean-up activity followed along the 800-meter waterway in the same area. More than 400 sacks of trash were then collected through the active participation of the 900 participants.
As part of the celebration, simultaneous clean-up and planting activities were also held at Brgy. Sta. Catalina, Lubao and Brgy. Sta. Lucia, Sasmuan.
