The Department of the Interior and Local Government Province of Zambales has conferred the Municipalities of Subic and San Marcelino with the 2019 National Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Award Marker. This is due to the municipalities' exemplary performance in the 2019 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Functionality Audit.

DILG Zambales Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad awarded the markers to Subic Mayor Hon. Jonathan John F. Khonghun and San Marcelino Mayor Hon. Elvis R. Soria on February 19 and 21, 2020, respectively.

The National ADAC Performance Award is given to LGUs that achieve an adjectival rating of Ideal (high functionality) based on the 2019 ADAC Performance Audit.

The ADAC of the Municipalities of Subic and San Marcelino received a high rating during the last functionality assessment with its evident effort to implement, coordinate and complement the national government's measures to eradicate the country's illegal drugs problem.

Also present to witness the awarding of ADAC Markers were Municipal Local Government Operations Offices of the two municipalities Kristine Joy B. Pesimo and Reden Morris M. Vergara, Cluster Team Leader Judith B. Romero, LGU local functionaries and representatives from the National Government.

In her message, PD Bactad emphasized that the Department is the LGUs' partner in ensuring delivery of pertinent and responsive services to the people.
