To align the Municipalities’ development investment programs with the national, regional, and provincial strategic priorities, the DILG Zambales facilitated the Provincial Workshop for the FY 2019 Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017-2022 / Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Localization Activities: Aligning Plans and Budget to the Provincial Results Matrices Committed Targets on November 18-19, 2019 at Vista Marina Hotel and Resort, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.


The 2-day seminar aimed to localize the Sustainable Development Goal indicators at the national and regional levels, and to adapt the Provincial Results Matrices to these development and recalibrate the indicators and targets.
In her message, PD Armi V. Bactad, DILG Provincial Director of Zambales stated that the purpose of the activity is to ensure that the Programs and Projects of the LGUs are aligned with the Development Plans of the National Government, as well as with the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Developments.
The activity was attended by the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (MPDCs) and staff of the thirteen (13) Municipalities of Zambales, technical staff from the Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) and Planning and Development Office (PPDO) of the Provincial Government of Zambales.
DILG Cluster Team Leader (CTL) Melissa D. Nipal, and PEO IV Corazon Juguilon of the PPDO, discussed the Guidance on the FY 2019-2022 Philippine Development Plan and the Sustainable Development Goals Localization and emphasized the importance of the PDP-SDG in the planning process among the municipalities of the Province of Zambales and Provincial Results Matrix for the FY 2018 Accomplishments, Financing Priority Projects and Programs, respectively.
The Provincial Workshop for the PDP-SDG strives to attain the strong foundation for more inclusive growth, highly-trusted and resilient society, and globally competitive economy.
