The Department of Interior and Local Government-Region III, through the Capability Development Division (CDD) and Regional Information and Communication Technology Unit (RICTU), initiated a one-day Training on Basic Photography and Infographics Development on September 20, 2019 at Grace Crown Hotel, Balibago, Angeles City. It was participated in by the designated Provincial/Highly Urbanized Cities Information Officers and Information Technology (IT) Officers regionwide together with the members of the Regional Communications Committee (RCC).

The activity was aimed to equip the participants with skills in the basic photography specifically in organizing photos and creating relevant captions likewise, they were also trained and oriented on the steps in preparing a high-impact infographics .

Information Officer III Jose Mari Garcia and Multimedia Assistant Mar Jay Delas Alas, both from Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Bataan served as the resource speakers in the acitivty.
Among the topics discussed were using DSLR camera and mobile phone in photography, practical techniques in events coverage, using Photoshop to craft Infographics, using mobile phone in layouting and social media content.

Participants engaged in workshops on capturing impact photos applying the techniques discussed (e.g. use of the rule of thirds, making adjustments, etc. on enhancing the apperance of photos and on preparing infographics using Photoshop and PicsArt application. Critiquing of the workshop outputs were also facilitated by the speakers. thereafter
