In a joint meeting presided over by Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr., on September 6, 2019 at the Balin Sambali, Iba, Zambales, the government's anti-insurgency campaign in the province of Zambales has been given a boost with the united support from the Provincial Development Council (PDC) and the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC).


During the said meeting, representative from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales Provincial Office presented a briefer on Executive Order No. 70 which institutionalizes a 'whole-of-nation approach' versus insurgency. The discussion dwelled on the Provincial Task Force on Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC), its different functions and composition.
In line with this, and to show support to the President's directive, Hon. Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Jr. issued Executive Order (E.O.) No. 7 series of 2019 which orders the Creation of the Provincial Task Force on Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC).
The activity was participated in by members of the PDC and PPOC such as the local functionaries of the Provincial Government, Municipal Planning Coordinators, Municipal Local Government Operations Officers, Municipal Chief of Police, Municipal Fire Marshals, Liga ng mga Barangay President, Local Chief Executives, Heads of National Government Agencies (NGAs) and Representatives from the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
Before the end of the activity, both bodies unanimously agreed to pass a joint resolution supporting and adopting the Executive Order issued by Governor Ebdane regarding the creation of the PTF-ELCAC of Zambales.
The Provincial Task Force will convene on the 4th week of September to discuss each agency's programs that will support EO No. 70.
