In celebration of Earth Day 2019, simultaneous clean-up activities in three barangays in Obando, Bulacan namely: Barangays Pag-asa, Tawiran and Binuangan were conducted, participated in by DILG Bulacan and Regional Office personnel on April 28, 2019.

After the clean-up activity, a program, participated in by representatives from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Earth Day Network Philippines, Inc. (EDNPI), Local Government Unit of Obando and different religious organizations was held at Plaza Magsaysay.
It started with a Yoga Session followed by an interfaith prayer. Obando Mayor Edwin Santos delivered his welcome message while EDNPI President Atty. Wigberto Tañada, Jr., shared the Earth Day Message with the participants.
DILG Bulacan Provincial Director Darwin David, in his speech emphasized the significance of everyone's consistent involvement in the battle for environmental preservation, "Hindi po dapat isang beses lang sa isang taon ang Earth Day, dapat araw-araw ay Earth Day", he said.
Assistant Secretary for Anti-Corruption Daniel Darius Nicer delivered the Solidarity Message and conveyed DENR Secretary Roy Cimatu's message.
