Angeles City and Olongapo City were chosen as the pilot areas for the implementation of the  Barangay and Pulisya Laban sa Krimen (BPLK) Program in Region 3. The  BPLK is the Department’s program to combat criminality and aims to promote safe, peaceful and orderly communities.  It emphasizes partnership between the barangay and the police with the participation of  business sectors, non government organizations, civil society organizations, faith based organizations and other volunteer sectors. 

 

On December 6, 2018, DILG Angeles City, in coordination with the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) conducted an Orientation on the said program to 33 Barangays of the city.

DILG Angeles City Director Martin Porres B. Moral discussed Memorandum Circular No. 2018-205 regarding the Guidelines in the Implementation of Barangay at Pulisya Laban sa Krimen. He encouraged the Punong Barangays to issue Executive Order Organizing the Neighborhood Watch, who will serve as the Auxiliary Team of Barangay Peace and Order Committee.

The ACPO partners discussed the Understanding Criminality, Crime Prevention and the Role of Police and the Community in Crime Prevention.
