DILG R3 along with seven (7) LGUs in Region 3 were recognized and awarded during the Performance Challege Fund (PCF) Summit at the Sulo Riviera Hotel, Diliman, Quezon City last November 13, 2018.

The said activity was to showcase and advocate the best practices of the LGU recipients in the implementation of PCF projects and to recognize the best performing PCF teams nationwide.

The PCF is an incentive given to eligible LGUs which passed the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) under the Local Governance Performance Management Program for the implementation of local development projects.
The DILG Region 3 was awarded with "Pagkilala sa Rehiyon sa Masigasig na Implementasyon ng PCF" and one special award entitled "Pagkilala sa Maagap na On-line Updating ng PCF" which RD Julie J. Daquioag received for the timely uploading and encoding of PCF projects in the PCF website. The following LGUs were also awarded with "Masidhing Paghanga" award for being consistent SGLG passers and recipients of the PCF grant for at least three consecutive years:
1. Provincial Government of Bulacan,
2. Mabalacat City, Pampanga
3. Plaridel, Bulacan
4. Floridablanca, Pampanga
5. Guagua, Pampanga
6. San Luis, Pampanga
7. Victoria, Tarlac

Best performing LGUs also presented their best practices in the implementation of the PCF program and were awarded with "Katangi-tanging Pagpupugay" award. Among the presenters was Mayor Francis Anthony Garcia of Balanga City, Bataan. Mayor Garcia shared the impact of various projects implemented thru the PCF in their locality. The projects include, purchase of solid waste management vehicles and equipment, farm to market road, purchase of rescue vehicles.

In his message, Usec. Epimaco V. Densing III, Undersecretary for Operations expressed that the PCF program is the product of the LGUs' good governance and emphasized that it has served as the symbol pride to the LGU awardees. He also reminded the LGUs to know what the people need and to always "work with a heart".
