BOTOLAN, ZAMBALES – In line with the government's drive for transparency in local governance, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) crafted the SubayBAYAN (Subaybayan ang Proyektong Bayan), an online platform where the public can monitor the status of projects being implemented in their localities.

In this connection, DILG Olongapo City and DILG Zambales conducted the roll-out for SubayBAYAN Project Monitoring and Reporting System on October 29, 2018 at the Polytechnic College of Botolan, Botolan, Zambales. The activity was attended by the SubayBAYAN focal persons from the city government of Olongapo, from the municipalities of Zambales, and from the Provincial Government of Zambales.

Also in attendance were DILG Field Officers, Provincial Locally-Funded Projects (LFP) Team, and Project Development and Monitoring Unit (PDMU) personnel from the Regional Office.

The activity aimed to fully orient and equip the local government unit (LGU) SubayBAYAN focal persons in the various stages of data processing in the system.
DILG Olongapo City Director Amada T. Dumagat, in her message, said that the SubayBAYAN is anchored on the Department's drive for transparent and participatory governance by providing the public with real time information on the projects implemented by the Department.

During the activity, participants were assisted on the step-by-step walk through on how to upload and update project details in the system.
