City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The DILG Region 3 recognized the Lupong Tagapamayapa (LT) in Central Luzon for their exemplary performance in settling disputes at their level and for outstanding contributions to attain goals of the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP). The winners received a plaque and 50,000 pesos cash award during the Regional LTIA Awarding Ceremony last September 19, 2018, at Kingsborough International Convention Center (KICC), this city.

Barangay Cupang Proper, Balanga City, Bataan, Brgy. Pandan, Angeles City, Brgy. O'donnell, Capas, Tarlac and Brgy. Camiing, Cabangan, Zambales topped the component city category, highly urbanized city category, 1st to 3rd class municipality category and 4th to 6th class municipality category, respectively.

During the activity, Director Julie J. Daquioag challenged the awardees to further strive for excellence in hopes of bagging the National LTIA Award and lauded the exemplary achievements of the present LT members.
Gov. Albert Raymond S. Garcia, provincial governor of Bataan and Chairperson of Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) handed the awards to the recognized LT members, together with RD Julie J. Daquioag.

"Ang Lupong Tagpamayapa ay may napakahalagang gampanin sa epektibong pagbababilis ng resolusyon ng mga hindi pagkakaunawaan at pagtulong sa "court backlogs" ng mga kaso. Sana ay marami pang magpursige sa LTIA sa susunod na taon", said Gov. Garcia.

The regional winners in each category shall compete at the LTIA national level within this year.
