SUBIC BAY FREEPORT ZONE – The Department of the Interior and Local Government – Support to Local Governance Program (DILG-SGLP) conducted a two-day National Orientation cum Regional Training on Development Live System on August 9-10, 2018 at Subic Bay Peninsular Hotel, SBFZ. It was participated in by representatives from the DILG Central Office, Regional Offices, and United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Development LIVE (DevLIVE) is an online data capture and visualization platform, which was developed thru the partnership of DILG with the UNDP. The system will serve as a monitoring and feedback tool for LGUs, CSOs and government personnel, thereby fostering a state-society partnership that is participatory, transparent, and ultimately democratic.

The said activity aims to provide the participants with background knowledge pertinent to the framework DevLIVE online monitoring system. The guidelines were thoroughly discussed and an actual simulation was conducted to understand and appreciate the system better.

Further, follow-through activities will also be conducted to further capacitate and train LGUs on how to use, navigate and access the platform. Through the app, projects under ADM and AM programs may easily be monitored not only by the LGU functionaries but also by the beneficiaries.
