Subsequent to the preparations for the 2018 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), the DILG Zambales facilitated a Provincial Orientation for 2018 SGLG on May 15, 2018 held at Zambales Training and Conference Center, Iba, Zambales. The activity aimed to familiarize and update the participants of the indicators for this year's SGLG assessment.

The orientation was attended by the DILG Officers, Local Functionaries of the 13 Municipalities of Zambales and Provincial Government of Zambales.

SGLG Focal Person LGOO VI Kristine Joy Pesimo discussed the overview of the activity and emphasized the significance of the seal which encourages good governance among LGUs in providing better services to the citizens. She also presented the upgraded and precise indicators of the seven (7) areas that the LGUs must meet in order to qualify and pass the assessment. Assessment forms were also presented during the said activity.

Following the SGLG Implementation phase, data gathering, validation and calibration is set from May until August and with the National Awarding scheduled on October.
