October 14, 2025 | To empower the barangays with modern tools to effectively manage information, deliver faster public services, and strengthen community engagement — DILG Bulacan introduced the Barangay Information Management System (BIMS) for the selected 57 barangays in the province. The activity was attended by barangay secretaries, treasurers, and other barangay personnel.
The Barangay Information Management System is a collection of digital information systems designed to assist barangays nationwide in streamlining their day-to-day administrative and governance functions.
During the roll-out, the following modules were introduced:
- Barangay Inhabitants Profiling System (BIPS)
- Barangay Ordinances and Resolutions Information System (BORIS)
- Barangay Clearances and Certification Information System (BCCIS)
- Katarungang Pambarangay Information System and Barangay Helpdesk (KPISBH)
- Barangay Website
Through this system, the DILG continues to pave the way for every barangay to embrace digital transformation and move toward smarter governance.
