NEW MATERIAL RECOVERY FACILITY TRANSFORMS WASTE INTO RESOURCES
In a significant step towards environmental sustainability, Mayor Enrico A. Roque led the inauguration of the newly constructed Material Recovery Facility (MRF), a key initiative funded under the FY 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) with an allocation of Php 1,800,000.00.
Joining the ceremony were Vice Mayor Luisa P. Sebastian, Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, CESO V, Cluster Head LGOO VII Judith B. Romero, MLGOO Jhea M. Gregorio, Sangguniang Bayan Members, LGU functionaries, and residents.
The MRF will serve as central waste segregation, recycling, and upcycling, ensuring that recyclable materials are processed efficiently and transformed into valuable resources. The facility not only promotes a cleaner environment but also fosters a culture of sustainability within the community.
