DILG BATAAN VALIDATES LGU DATA ON LGPMS

To ensure validity and completeness of Local Governance Performance Management System (LGPMS) Data of CY 2012, the Provincial Team composed of OIC-CTL Yvette Cosio, LGPMS Focal Person Cristy Blanco, LGOO II Jesusa Margallo, LGOO II Catherine Aduna and ADAS II Johnny Mandocdoc conducted field visits in all component LGUs of Bataan including the City of Balanga, on March 4-8, 2013.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales, headed by Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, supports the launching of the Provincial Convergence Action Planning of Operation “Listo” conducted by DILG Region III. The fourteen (14) Local Government Units (LGUs) of Zambales participated on the activity at Balin Sambali Hotel, Iba, Zambales on March 25, 2015.

The Provincial Peace and Order Council of Zambales chaired by no less than Hon. Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Jr., Governor in its continuing efforts to intensify interventions for the province-wide campaign against criminality and insurgency has conducted the 1st Meeting for CY 2015 last March 24, 2015 at the Balin Sambali (Zambales Hotel), Iba, Zambales. The event was made possible thru the effort of the DILG, led by Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, CESO V, PPOC Head Secretariat in close coordination with the Provincial Government of Zambales.

OIC-Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Lee Allen B. Pineda in coordination with Municipal Agriculture Officer (MAO) Diomedes E. Lucero conducted an inspection-visit last March 18, 2015 of the 1-unit four wheel drive tractor amounting to Php 1,300,000.00 procured by the Municipality of San Marcelino, Zambales through the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF).

Lnb and DILG Conducts Orientation-Workshop on Developing Good Governance to Effective and Efficient Delivery of Barangay Services for Barangay Officials in Zambales

The Liga ng mga Barangay led by Hon. Ruel P. Sarmiento and DILG headed by PD Armi V. Bactad, CESO V conducted an Orientation-Workshop on Developing Good Governance to Effective and Efficient Delivery of Barangay Services last February 25 to 27, 2013 at Venus Parkview Hotel, Baguio City. This activity aims to further enhance good governance in the barangay level through its better delivery of services by the barangay officials to its constituents.

During the opening program, Hon. Joel A. Alangsab, National Board of Director, LnB CAR, officially welcomed the participants to their city. On the other hand, PD Bactad, provided an overview of the topics to be discussed for the whole duration of the event. These topics include the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (RA 6713) and the Anti-Red Tape Act (RA 9485). She also discussed the upcoming activities for March, the observance of “Earth Hour” and the Barangay Assembly Day.

The presentation regarding the Background of the Citizen’s Charter was provided by DILG Pampanga Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia, CESO V. She included in her discussion the provisions of the ARTA and the Report Card Survey which aims to evaluate the performance of the LGUs with regards to their services to clients. She stressed that a copy of the Citizen’s Charter should always be present to serve as guide to the level of service especially of the LGU’s frontliners. Mr. Randy C. Tababa, Chief Personnel Specialist from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region III discussed RA 7613 along with the eight (8) norms of conduct a government employee should have and its prohibited acts and transactions. LGOO VI Rolando D. Ocampo presented the topic on Promoting and Sustaining Barangay Good Governance. He added in this presentation the elements of good governance and the implementation of the posting of barangay budget, expenditures and other financial transactions.

The participants had a fellowship night to appreciate the culture of the Cordilleras through its ethnic dancers and forge camaraderie and establish relationship among the barangay officials in the province.

The event was graced by former Las Piñas Representative Cynthia Villar, Zambales Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr. and Zambales 2nd District Representative Jun Omar Ebdane who vowed to continue supporting policies and programs that aims to improve the welfare of the barangays in the province. The activity was also attended by the MLGOOs who provided technical assistance to the said event

Zambales Conducts Provincial Caravan for 23rd LG Code Anniversary

DILG Zambales, in partnership with the Provincial Government, spearheaded the Provincial Caravan on October 7, 2014 in celebration of the 23rd Local Government Code (LGC) Anniversary. Present during the activity were Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane, Jr., Vice Governor Ramon G. Lacbain II, LMP Zambales Chapter President Jun Rundstedt C. Ebdane, VMLP Zambales Chapter President Elvis R. Soria, PCL Zambales Chapter President, Atty. Noel S. Ferrer and Liga ng mga Barangay Zambales Chapter President Romelino R. Gojo. It was by PNP, BFP, 24th Infantry Battalion – Philippine Army (PA), Barangay Tanods, Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Traffic Management Bureau (TMB) of Subic and NGOs like the International Police Commission (IPC) Zambales Command Riders and the Kabayan Action Group of Iba and Botolan Chapters. There were 106 vehicles and 28 motorbikes registered in the motorcade with 646 participants.
