   DILG R-3 had jumpstarted the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) roll-out implementation by convening the LGU representatives and Local Resource Institutes (LRIs) involved.  The activity was held on November 6, 2013 at DILG Regional Office 3, Local Governance Regional Resource Center. It was attended by all representatives of the six (6) partner Cities and partner Local Resource Institutes.   Also present were the Focal Persons of the CSIS Project, CDD Chief and Regional Director.

 

   The activity was aimed at finalizing the implementation strategy by the team as per guidance provided by the BLGS and firming up the convergence of the DILG, LRIs and LGUS through a Memorandum of Agreement between the DILG and the LRIs concerned.

   In her welcome remarks, RD Florida M. Dijan congratulated each and every representative of the LRIs and LGUs for being chosen amongst several LGUs nationwide who will benefit for the first run of the project.  She further added that this endeavor shall be successful as this will ultimately benefit the citizenry.

   Towards the end of the activity, a ceremonial MOA signing was done amongst the DILG Regional Director and representative of the LRIs.

   Concomitant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2012-113, DILG is the lead agency to implement the CSIS project in 2013 to 2016, with the guidance from the Bureau of Local Governance Supervision. For 2013, 35 priority cities, based on the list of the National Competitiveness Council’s (NCC) Top 50 Competitive Cities and the provinces included in NBM No. 118, are to be covered by CSIS implementation. For Central Luzon, 6 cities and respective LRIs were identified by the BLGS namely, Balanga City - Bataan Peninsula State University, Cabanatuan City- Central Luzon State University, Mabalacat City - Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University, Olongapo City - Columban College, City of San Fernando - City College of San Fernando and Tarlac City - Tarlac State University
