Medical front-liners in Bulacan are set to be inoculated with Sinovac vaccine as the Province commenced vaccination program on March 8, 2021 at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, the Province’s designated vaccination site.
First to be vaccinated is Dr. Hjordis Marushka Celis, Medical Director of the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC). She was followed by Dr. Jose Emiliano Gatchalian, BMC Hospital Training Officer and Alma Villena, BMC nurse supervisor.
Governor Daniel Fernando, who led the activity, assured the public that the vaccine is safe amidst public hesitations in getting COVID-19 vaccines hence; he encouraged the public to submit themselves for vaccination. He also expressed his support to the medical front-liners.
Moreover, Dr. Emily Paulino of the Department of Health emphasized that the vaccination among citizens is vital to achieve herd immunization.
