MALOLOS CITY – The DILG Bulacan led by PD Darwin David together with LGOO VII Jose Algy Canlas made an ocular inspection of the isolation facility located at the College of Social Science and Criminology building of the Bulacan State University (BSU)-Main Campus.

This isolation facility is one of the four designated isolation facilities in the province. Among them are the newly constructed extension building of the Bulacan Medical Center, MAB building in Barangay San Pablo here, and the Provincial Government of Bulacan-Governance Center.

The facility was also inspected by the Department of Health Office of Bulacan together with Dr. Protacio Bajao and other staff from the Provincial Government of Bulacan.

It was observed that the facility is adjacent with the Bulacan Medical Center which makes it easier for health workers to transfer patients for the quarantine procedure; the buildings have separate bathrooms for quarantine hygiene requirements; rooms are well ventilated, and; the area is safe with security guards around.

Furthermore, the Bulacan State University isolation facility can accommodate up to 100 patients.

Thus, on May 4, 2020, the DILG Bulacan certified the facility suitable to be used as Temporary Treatment and Monitoring facility for mild cases of suspect and probabe COVID-19 cases and Quarantine Facility for Health Workers and Persons under Monitoring
