The Province of Bulacan conducted a Joint Meeting of Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PPOC) on June 11, 2020 led by Governor Daniel R. Fernando.

During the said meeting, updates on COVID-19, crime rate and drug situation in the province were tackled including the issues on insurgency.

According to the updates, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has launched a program that initiates environmental protection projects called, “Kaligkasan” short for kaligtasan at kalikasan. Volunteers who are called “Kaligkasan Warriors” are deputized to apprehend environmental law violators.

Quaratine Control Points (QCPs) are also dismantled except for QCPs in provincial boundaries. Likewise, the PNP will conduct a dry-run in converting inter-municipality checkpoint/QCPs into patrol. However, if not successful, QCPs shall be continued.

The activity was physically attended by Provincial Heads of DILG, PNP, PDEA, AFP and Provincial Department Heads while the Local Chief Executives participated through zoom video conference.
