In preparation for the 2021 Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) functionality assessment, the Provincial Interagency Monitoring Task Force (IMTF) met through a zoom meeting on January 31, 2022.

During the meeting, the DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-39 dated April 7, 2021, was discussed as a refresher on the program and to guide the PIMTF members on the guidelines of the assessment. The members were also briefed on their duties and functions.

For F.Y. 2022, the IMTF will assess the 2021 LCPC documents of the cities and municipalities.

In his message, PD Darwin David emphasized the importance and relevance of the LCPC in prioritizing programs and projects that will protect and give significance to the needs of the children in their localities.

The LCPC is a council organized at the provincial, city, municipal and barangay levels, that serves as the umbrella organization of all children’s concerns.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the DILG Bulacan, DepEd, Provincial Government, and Civil Society Organization (CSO).

Furthermore, the assessment is set to start on this February 2022.
