DILG Region 3 in consonance with the national government’s thrust of curbing red tape and in an effort to develop more business friendly LGUs, conducted a 3-day activity dubbed as Orientation-Training on Business Permit and Licensing System Empowerment and Acceleration Through Information Technology (BEAT-IT). It was attended by a total of 124 participants composed of Business Permit and Licensing Officers (BPLOs) and IT staff from 49 LGUs in the region, most of which have no existing e-BPLS.

Dijan spearheaded the launch of the “Operation Listo” and the turnover of Disaster Preparedness Manuals to DILG Provincial Directors and Cluster Team Leaders, the Provincial Directors of the Philippine National Police and the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officers, at the King’s Royale Travelers Hotel, Olongapo-Gapan Road, February 25, 2015.

AURORA – To monitor and assess the implementation of BuB projects, DILG Region III headed by Regional Director Florida M. Dijan and Capability Development Division Chief Martin Porres B. Moral conducted a three-day site visit in the province of Aurora on February 22-24, 2015.

A groundbreaking ceremony of the Water Supply System project under the 2015 Bottom Up Budgeting (BuB) Program of the DILG-R3 was graced by Regional Director Florida M. Dijan in Barangay Maligaya, Dilasag, Aurora last February 17, 2015. Other personalities present were Hon. Mayor Victorio B. Briones of Dilasag, Aurora, Engr. Renen Dismaya, officer-in-charge of the Municipal Engineering Office, Mr. Rogelio Alfonso of the Municipal Planning and Development Office and other barangay officials.

AURORA – RD Florida M. Dijan together with the local government officials of the municipalities of Dilasag, Dipaculao, Maria Aurora and Baler in Aurora signed the Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) on February 23-24, 2015 for the Implementation of “Various Programs/Projects for Local Government Units” under the Bottom Up Budgeting Program.
