The Road Clearing validation season in the Province of Bataan has successfully concluded on February 26, 2021.

Pursuant to DILG-issued memorandum titled 'Guidelines for the Conduct of Validation of LGU Compliance with Road Clearing', validation teams assessed the compliance of the LGUs in Bataan to the following components:

✅Road Clearing Component
✅Ordinance Component
✅Inventory Component
✅Displacement Component
✅Rehabilitation Component
✅Grievance Mechanism Component
✅Tricycle Ban on National Highways

Provinces, cities and municipalities were required to create a validation team composed of representatives from DILG, PNP, BFP and CSO.

To ensure impartiality of the assessment, the teams were assigned across different LGUs. This also included cross-posting between Bataan and Olongapo City.

Further, area assignments were largely considered in order to minimize travelling distance and reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other health problems.

In accordance to DILG MC 2020-145, the road clearing validation runs from February 16 to March 2, 2021. Under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), Bataan was expected to perform full road clearing implementation.
